Why take guitar lessons? With the availability of youtube guitar demonstrations and guitar tablature online there is a plethora of information out there as a resource for anyone to use. While these sources can be beneficial, it is important to have regular guidance and instruction geared toward establishing proper technique and a musical foundation on which to build. A good teacher will challenge the student and also make sure they understand concepts before moving forward. Good habits are easy to create but bad habits can effect the way a person plays for years. Get started right. Hire a professional instructor.
